Accomplishments

·     Ten years of teaching experience in the area of theatre and art at community outreach program Plaza de la Raza. (Selected as CAP writer for 2010 season. The original play Life is a Dream was then performed at The REDCAT Walt Disney Theatre)

·     Awarded four Accolade awards for feature film JELLY (writer/producer/actor) & selected to participate in over 25 film festivals worldwide.

·     Nominated as best director for film OLIVIA (writer/director/producer) at The Ann Arbor Film Festival 2010.

·     For more than four years, managing director of Stella Bella Productions, LLC which has  produced two feature films, music videos and short films that have received accolades and/or distribution through The Sundance Channel.

·     Has sold over 100 paintings (exhibition and commissioned work). Paintings featured in FX TV shows, City council offices, private collections and San Bernardino Boys Homes.

·     Develop and write screenplays for the company, mock-up storyboards, schedule Day out of Days for talent, complete SAG paperwork for specified budget. Company freelance editor.

·     Design posters, websites, postcards, business cards, pitch materials.

·     Put together comprehensive budget top sheets and full budget packets for investors. Maintain the residual paperwork for films including but not limited to all bookkeeping, organizing percentages for actors and keeping up to date records.

·     Collaborate with business partner on distribution strategies, conferences and workshops.

Theater Teacher –, Los Angeles, Ca ▪ January, 2001 – Present.

·     Edited content for fundraising, helped organize fundraising events for the non-profit community outreach program Plaza de la Raza.

·     Introduce children to playwrights like Lorca, Rivera, and Shakespeare, Sarah Ruhl. Currently teaching the fundamentals of Greek Mythology for children 12-18.·     Coach children from the ages of 5-18 in memorization of monologues and scenes from different plays. Students have gone on to attend Yale, NYU and California Institute of the Arts.
